On a recent cruise, we met a delightful couple who had made their home on Christmas Island. Now retired, these two ex-school teachers fell in love with the island on a posting there, well before the notoriety occasioned by the Federal Government's asylum seeker resettlement scheme. Over the dinner table on board the Prinsendam, Kerry took my railway anecdotes to heart, and sent me a couple of photos of abandoned railway rolling stock still on the island from phosphate mining days. Here they are.
Okay, Okay. Now all is revealed. This is not really a set of railway pages, it is a set of steam transport pages. Here are a few non-railway, but still steam-driven, items of transport.
Okay, Okay. Even more revealed. Not really a set of railway pages, or even a set of steam driven pages, but ... then again, maybe it is?
